At the heart of LSR are the 10 program days; often exhausting, often exhilarating, always enlightening. Participants don't merely sit and listen but get a close up, unfiltered view of Sonoma County's leading issues, strengths and challenges and by meeting people on the inside, asking questions, seeing for themselves, working out solutions with their own hands.
		Before most of the program days, participants have an opportunity to spend time on their own with people deeply involved in the issues of the coming LSR day. On these pre-tours, class members might spend an hour or two or half a day with police officers on patrol, healthcare workers, teachers and students, businesspeople, government officials and others.
		The program days focus on live issues. Program coordinators, all of them graduates of the previous LSR class, strive to make the days compelling and educational, and to include time for participants to talk among themselves and to digest what they have learned. The program days include:
